KENYA: Siaya, Kisumu, upbeat during visit

WELCOME HOME: Kisumu residents on Sunday took to the streets to celebrate the visit by US President Barack Obama to Kenya

Despite the announcement that US President Barack Obama would not visit Kogelo, Siaya county remained upbeat during his three-day tour of the country.

Several public vehicles were mounted with US and Kenyan flags.

Some boda boda operators wore sunglasses inscribed with the message, "Karibu dala wuod Kogelo" (welcome home the son of Kogelo).
