NAMIBIA: Vanishing Lions of the Namib

The Desert Lion Conservation Trust's wildlife documentary on the desert-adapted lions of Namibia by Into Nature Productions, 'Vanishing Kings - Lions of the Namib' will premiere at the Warehouse Theatre in Windhoek on Saturday, 18 July.

Over a two-year period the Desert Lion Conservation Trust provided scientific and logistical support to Will and Lianne Steenkamp during their quest to uncover and film the secrets of a small population of lions that live in the harsh arid conditions of the northern Namib.

A substantial effort was made to keep the film authentic and void of sensation and the filmmakers have produced an epic film that is a true representation of a pride of lions in the Hoanib River. They live in a range of dramatic landscapes ranging from the coast, sand dunes, gravel plains, and the mountains further inland.

A matinée show takes place at 15h30 and the evening show starts at 18h00. Tickets cost N$50 for children under 16 and N$100 for adults, available at www.staytoday.com.na - Into Nature Productions
