It is one of the dependent states along the Caribbean Sea that is under the rule of Great Britain. When in the Cayman Islands, make sure you include these top ten attractions that are highly recommended and worth a visit.

Stingray City
Many tour companies can be contacted in the Grand Cayman that offer packaged tours to this activity. Prices vary depending on the size of the boat that will take you there. You can choose the least expensive ($ 35 per person). Whatever price you decide to pay lines will be at the rendezvous for everyone. The sea is an incredible color at this point. If you must choose one type of activity in the Grand Cayman, it is this that you should opt. At Stingray City, it is an incredible experience to be in the midst of several large stingrays.

Grab the opportunity to swim with the stingrays of Grand Cayman; it is an unforgettable and very intense experience. After a 45-minute boat ride, you arrive on a sandbank at a meter deep in crystal waters and suddenly you will be surrounded with huge lines of 1.00 m wingspan, that you can graze and get near to feed them. Try to give them small pieces of fish and they will swallow sucking your hands too if you are not cautious. You can embrace one of these docile beasts, do you massage and safely interact with them in the waters with the guides for an hour. After this, you can visit a coral reef where you can borrow snorkeling gear and get to snorkel for a while.

Seven Mile Beach
You know those beautiful posters depicting pristine Caribbean beaches on the tour agencies you can find in the city center? Well, the Seven Mile Beach is one of those beaches, beautiful, candid almost immaculate, quiet and not crowded because the sea that bathes so beautiful and a breathtaking transparent water. As the name implies, it is a 7-mile beach with white sand and crystal clear sea. If you want to spend a nice time, the Seven Mile beach is a little paradise to feel like you have a piece of beach for yourself to ponder or rest. The sunset is beautiful and the turquoise sea with waves will make you feel inspired to contemplate the beauty of the sea and to meditate.

The interesting part is it is free and you’ll just have to hire a tour guide in Georgetown where you can go by boat or hire a taxi driver who works part time as guides with transport service to accompany tourists who wants to explore the rest of the Grand Cayman Islands. You can swim without worry because it has no waves, there are also inflatable beaches for children to play and use all day and charge approximately U.S. $ 10. The beach has toilets and showers and there is no charge for use, there are also beach bars with affordable prices.

Kittiwake Shipwreck and Artificial Reef

The ex USS Kittiwake Shipwreck and Artificial Reef which sank in 2011 is easy to locate and find in the waters of the Grand Cayman. Divers make the obligatory visit to this famous shipwreck in the Caribbean Sea. The wreck has been cleared and cleaned of any possible danger and the openings have been created to allow penetration of even the non-expert divers. Exploration is a lot of fun and you can visit all the main rooms of the vessel. The regulation of the consortium that manages the permissions on the Diving Center can moor a few boats, so it is difficult to find confusion.

Almost all Diving Companies in Grand Cayman offers this dive, for which it is required to wear a medallion to the GAV of plastic (accesses are monitored by the consortium) that remains at the end of the dive as a souvenir. It is a wreck that anyone can freely explore and discover whatever diving license you have. The original features of the ship are still visible even up to the engine room, the propeller is still complete. It is a nice site for snorkeling and diving. The rust has not yet overgrown because it just recently capsized. It is definitely worth a visit.

Cayman Turtle Farm (Island Wildlife Encounter)
The tortoise breeding station (Cayman Turtle Farm) on the Grand Cayman is a state breeding and research station for the re-population of turtles in the waters of the Caymans and popular tourist attraction (like a zoo) but also (turtles) a meat producer for the local restaurants. Turtle Meat is very popular with the local population and for some curious tourists. On the farm there is a huge breeding tank ("breeding pond") with more than 200 sexually mature turtles. Every year, these turtles lay up to 45,000 eggs.

In several smaller basins ("turtle tanks") are turtles reared from birth to sexual maturity and hike (depending on their age) in larger tanks. On special "touch tanks", visitors can touch the turtles, pet and even "swim" with the turtles. In the Boatswain’s Lagoon you can swim along with thousands of marine life and do a bit of snorkeling. It is an absolute experience. The park offers a short culinary course ("Schooner's Bar & Grill") and a well stocked souvenir shop. Admission to the Turtle Farm is offered at 30 U.S. Dollars for the entire park and at 40 U.S. dollars per person (children 25 or 20 U.S. dollars).

Rum Point
The Rum Point is a beautiful beach to discover and meet so many foreigners and locals. Before relaxing at the beach look for the souvenir shops which you will find when you arrive. The prices are good and the souvenir statement shirts are a bit different from the usual. Enjoy long walks with a wonderful view of the beach villas that will take your breath away. The beach front area is equipped with deck chairs, tables for dining, bars, and restaurants. Even when there are many people, this tourist spot offers a relaxing place you can never find and feel among the other beaches that line this coast. The sea is wonderful and safe even at night. There are lots of diving tour operators that offer exciting diving expeditions on this part of the island.

Diving equipments are no problem as there are many shops that rent their diving gears by the hour. You can also rent snorkeling gears, goggle masks, and fins. This beach is probably still a secret, as it is very quiet despite the sensational scenery. The best way to reach this attraction is by car. A small parking area is located directly on the beach. Parasailing, Kite surfing, and paddle jet ski adventures are also offered. It is also the best pick up point to reach the Stingray City.

Port of Georgetown
The Port of Georgetown (Porto di Georgetown) is a small but crowded marina that is located at the heart of the small town. There are boats ready to take you fishing, lots of shops with their gadgets and local products, and some mini-malls. In some of these happen to be able to admire iguana or colorful parrots. There is the ubiquitous Hard Rock Cafe. Then going to the beach, on the left side, you can see fishermen often catch prey with their very large canes, and start to fight "pull & spring" on their catches to bring them to the ground.

This typical Caribbean town is very picturesque. It’s a port like many others, full of people trying to sell you all kinds of attractions, taxis available to take you anywhere, souvenir sellers and colorful knick- knacks that are usually available for latecomers looking for a thought for them or for various gifts. It gets extremely crowded especially when the tourist cruise ships dock along its bay. Some shops open when the tourists start to disembark. However, when there are no cruise ships the shops usually do not open at all or choose to close shop as early as 6 pm.

Star Fish Point
Grab the chance to reach for the stars at your fingertips when you are at the Star Fish Point. Accessible by a rented car, this attraction has a spacious parking area. You walk for another ten minutes to reach the small beach that is famous for its whale starfish. On this beach, you can have the chance and the possibility to see at least seven of all sizes and you can touch them. It is a great experience that is ideal for families with children. Be sure to visit this site very early in the morning, because once the boats of tourists come after another the place gets too crowded and the chance and to see them in all its glory becomes almost impossible.

Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park
The idyllic inland of the Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park houses the most exotic plants and a few blue iguanas. It is beautifully landscaped but still quite upgradeable. The Botanical Garden is situated in the heart of the Grand Cayman Island. One should visit the garden and send a considerable amount of time to escape the crowds or the hustle and bustle of the city center.

It is the perfect place to know the different species of plants, orchids, local fruit trees, and the tropical flowers that can grow on this island. There is a breeding center for the Iguanas and other types of animals. If you go quiet, attentive and your eyes open the attachment, you can see a lot of great animals and plants. Of course, the iguanas and parrots were the highlight. For the size of the island, the garden is quite acceptable but certainly still has so much to be improved.

Hell
Grand Cayman is the largest of the three Cayman Islands (197 square kilometers, population about 23, 500 people). The capital George Town is the economic, social and tourist center of the British Crown Colony. In the north-west of the island (north of the "Seven Mile Beach") is located directly in the village of West Bay a bizarre black limestone formation (the rock in the form of flames), dubbed as "Hell".

On top of the viewing platforms you can look at these amazing rock formations. For tourists and visitors, the Hell post office (including souvenir shop) is very popular (red-strokes hut with many biblical quotations). From there you can send postcards received postmarked "Hell, Grand Cayman.” For a small tip you can also get a stamp in their travel pass ("Greetings from Devil's Hangout - Hell - Grand Cayman"). "Hell" should have a look necessarily, but do not plan too much time because the Grand Cayman has more to offer.

Cayman Motor Museum
As soon as you enter the museum you are faced with the oldest car in the world, the 1905 Cadillac. It is one of the first ever documented vintage vehicles that were driven on the island of the Grand Cayman. This is highlighted in a special spot in the Cayman Motor Museum and made available for all to see. Continuing the museum you see all kinds of cars, bikes and racing boats from ancient to modern.

See and take pictures of Mercedes Benz, Sao Ferraris, Bentleys, and even Batman's original Bat mobile and Bat Cycle which are included in the collection. It is an extraordinary museum for those who are passionate about cars. There is also a portion that is dedicated to old cars donated by famous celebrities like; Sir Elton John and Queen Elizabeth. Kids will surely enjoy the great variety of cars to see and appreciate inside the vintage car museum.
