Ecuador: ‘All you need is Ecuador’ campaign in London

Ecuador’s Ministry of Tourism has globally launched the second stage of its ‘All You Need Is Ecuador’ campaign, known as ‘Feel Again’, which invites travellers to reconnect with themselves and nature in ‘The country with four worlds in the middle of the world’.

The event was hosted at London’s emblematic Tate Modern, with the presence of Sandra Naranjo, Minister of Tourism and other government representatives from the country, along with UK tourism industry, media and Ecuadorian private sector.

Minister Sandra Naranjo and Vice Minister Dominic Hamilton were in London to take part in the Experience Latin America travel fair.

In the days that lead up to the event, they met with key operators, airlines, hotel groups and media, in order to promote development opportunities in the country’s tourism sector.

The minister explained, “The first stage of the campaign was primarily about raising awareness. The second stage invites travellers to experience our country on a more personal level, as a place where they can reconnect with nature and themselves.”

The ‘All You Need is Ecuador’ campaign is part of the Ecuadorian government’s ambitious strategy to diversify its economy and put tourism at the heart of a long-term plan, which is to transition away from oil-based dominance.

International arrivals rose by 14%, in 2014, surpassing 1.5 million. Revenue generated in the tourism sector also grew by 19% last year, contributing USD1.5 billion to the country’s economy, which is equivalent to five percent of GDP, making it Ecuador’s third largest industry.
