Ethiopia: Ethiopian Airlines To Fly To California

Ethiopian Airlines became the first African airline to serve California when it launched a direct flight from Addis Ababa to Los Angeles on June 20.

The flight is operated on a Boeing 787 Dreamliner and makes a stop in Dublin. The LAX/Dublin/Addis service is operated three times weekly (Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays) with flights departing at 11:45 p.m. from the Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX.

“Ethiopian Airlines is proud to provide the only nonstop service from Los Angeles to Dublin as well as the shortest flying time to East Africa,” said Tewolde Gebremariam, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Group. “In addition to all of the benefits of the ultra-modern Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, travelers from Los Angeles will be able to enjoy seamless and convenient connectivity throughout our extensive network in Africa covering 50 destinations.”
