INDIA: Kuoni Group Announces New CEO

Kuoni Group has announced the appointment of Zubin Karkaria as new CEO.

Karkariais current CEO of Kuoni subsidiary VFS Global and will hold both posts concurrently.

"We have great confidence in Zubin Karkaria, who has so successfully developed VFS Global into a global leader, to lead the Kuoni Group forward," said Heinz Karrer, chairman of Kuoni Group.

"The Kuoni Group has been transformed from a broad-based travel company pursuing a wide range of very different activities into a focussed global service provider for the professional travel industry and governments."

Zubin Karkaria, 47, established VFS Global in 2001 and is a market leader in providing visa application and processing services for governments worldwide.

Karkaria is the former COO of the Kuoni India tour operating division and in 2013 was appointed to the Executive Board of Kuoni Group.
