ST.KITTS & NEVIS: US’ Transportation Security Administration Inspect Airports

A contingent of representatives from the US’ Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will over the next few days be inspecting the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport in St. Kitts and the Vance Amory International Airport on Nevis.

The TSA was created in November 2011, following the terrorist attacks on the US on September 11. TSA agents are mostly visible on US airports conducting passenger screening and other security mechanisms.

While in the federation the team will meet with US air carrier representatives and conduct air carrier inspections for airlines flying directly into the US.

These types of inspections are conducted on a routine basis to ensure security recommendations and practices are being adhered to.
