ICELAND: Asylum Seeker Threatens To Set Himself On Fire In Kjalarnes

Arnarholt is a centre for asylum seekers in Kjalarnes.
Police, firebrigade and rescue teams have been called out to Arnarholt in Kjalarnes, near Reykjavik because of an asylum seeker threatening to set himself on fire.

Arnarholt which was previously a rehabilitation centre for mentally ill individuals is now since last year a centre for asylum seekers.

According to information from the Reykjavik Fire Department a fire engine and an ambulance has been sent to the site.

Further information has not yet been disclosed.
