A man was arrested on a charge of murder after allegedly killing his father because he made fun of him, police in Japan said.
Sapporo police said that they have arrested the 49-year-old unemployed man after being accused of killing his 77-year-old father with whom he lived.
The victim was found dead by his 84-year-old wife when she returned home around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. The couple’s son fled from the scene, but was later found and arrested by police.
Police said that the man has confessed to killing his father by kicking and hitting him. There were strangulation marks on the neck of the victim.
During questioning, the son told police that he was sick and tired of his father making fun of him. This was not the first time that the son assaulted his father.
Several weeks ago, the father called the police after being beaten by his son.
