Alila Jabal Akhdar is the perfect combination of Oman’s old-world charm and contemporary luxury. The resort recently won the award for Best Suite in a Hotel 50 – 200 Rooms in the Global Category at The International Hotel & Property Awards 2015 hosted in Italy, adding another title to its long list of accolades.
Julian Ayers, Regional Vice President of Alila Hotels & Resorts, comments, “We are very proud to be recognised for this world-renowned mark of excellence. We owe this accolade to our amazing guests – our greatest ambassadors – as well as Alila Jabal Akhdar’s committed staff and our quality service.”
The International Hotel & Property Awards are hosted by Design et Al, a leading interior design magazine based in the UK. The results are based on voting by industry professionals, readers, clients and customers.
The five-star property continues to set a high standard in the hospitality industry, receiving a number of prestigious awards for leisure tourism. Recognition has come locally and regionally, as well as from world-renowned publications including New York Post and U.S. Conde Nast Traveler.
Regionally, Alila Jabal Akhdar received the LEED Silver Certification in March of this year in the Building Design and Construction rating system for New Construction by the U.S. Green Building Council – this marked the first development in Oman to obtain the prestigious international LEED certification. In May the resort was awarded for the GCC Leisure and Tourism Project of the Year at the MEED Quality Awards 2015. The resort has also snagged the award for Conde Nast Traveller Middle East: Hot List 2015 and Emirates Woman: The Top Luxury Travel Destinations for 2015, amongst others.
