Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai

Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai has appointed Azel Casianan as the new Assistant Director of Sales. Azel has more than 10 years of experience in the hospitality field.

During her career, she has worked with many renowned international hotels such as Rotana Hotel Management Corporation, Accor Hotels & Starwood Hotels.

In her new role, Azel will mainly be in-charge of strengthening business ties with the existing clients, as well as generating leads for new accounts. She will also assist the Director of Sales & Marketing in carrying out the various sales activities to maximise business opportunities and revenue for the property.

Global hospitality group Swiss-Belhotel International has named Laurent A. Voivenel as Senior Vice President, Operations and Development for the Middle East, Africa and India.

Swiss-Belhotel International currently manages a portfolio of more than 145 hotels, resorts and projects worldwide and is targeting the Middle East, Africa and India region as a key growth market.

Travelzoo

Donna Marcou-Stafford, is the new Business Development Director for Travelzoo in Las Vegas. Travelzoo is a global media commerce company. With more than 28 million members in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific and 25 offices worldwide, Travelzoo® publishes offers from more than 2,000 travel, entertainment and local companies.

Prior to her current position, she was the Vice President of Leisure Sales for the Tropicana Las Vegas for almost 7 years and was responsible for the overall production of leisure sales in domestic, international, travel agent, consortia, business travel and OTA markets. She also worked on promoting the brand, food and beverage, entertainment and marketing.

Marcou-Stafford was also the Vice President of Leisure Sales for Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, for over ten years, including during the pre-opening sales operations. Marcou-Stafford was also the Regional Director of International Sales with Hilton Hotel Corporation representing four hotels and resorts in Los Angeles and Phoenix.

In addition, Marcou-Stafford worked as the Director of Sales for several other companies including Planet Hollywood Restaurants in Beverly Hills and Sheraton Hotels in Arizona.

Marcou-Stafford has held memberships with several professional organizations including SKAL International, PROST, Japan America Society, Tourism Cares Association, United States Travel Industry Association for International Pow Wow (IPW) board member, and a Certified Professional (CTP) through the National Tour Association. She also works closely with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors’ Authority for travel industry events.

Marcou-Stafford was recognized as the WINNER of the Nevada Hotel Lodging Association 2015 Stars of the Industry Award for SALES EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR! She demonstrates exceptional service to the hospitality industry, the Las Vegas community and Nevada.

She is recognized as a highly successful industry sales professional who contributes substantially to the travel industry through her sales. She was acknowledged in the Las Vegas Magazine / The List of Las Vegas Movers & Shakers, Las Vegas Woman Magazine

Local Ladies Achievement News, Las Vegas Business Press / Executive Snapshot, and Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce / Presidents Club.

She also received the prestigious "Most Valuable Partner” award in recognition of her outstanding support and commitment to partnering with their global sales organization with Starwood Hotels and Resorts, “Star of the Quarter Finalist” for

Team Aladdin, and received the first Leisure Sales Person of the Year award with Hilton Corporation.

Her biggest passion is travel and she has been to over 42 countries. She enjoys meeting new people from all the cultures of the world.

Other hobbies include Golfing, 4-wheeling and road trips with her husband, Paddle boarding and volunteers for the Alzheimer’s Association.
