China: Utor Hits China Travel Services – flights after hitting Philippines – Hongkong – Vietnam

Utor hits China travel services and flights after hitting Philippines, Hongkong, Vietnam. Large number of tourist stranded due to cancellation of flight and travel services. Typhoon Utor tones down to tropical storm again. Utor after hitting provinces of southern China shifts back to a tropical storm. HongKong had to shut down on Wednesday due to the raging Typhoon and then it raged through Philippines. Associated Press reported that least damage hit China though the officials have taken serious steps keeping in mind the concern for people and the state properties. They have evacuated thousands of people and the schools were shut down. This is predicted to be the world’s strongest typhoon so far this year.

The Vietnam officials warned in prior the possibility of landslides due to flash floods. Malaysia also reported of having felt the effects from the Typhoon. According to VietNamNet, “In the next 24 hours, Utor will move northwest, change into its west direction at a speed of 10-15 km [six-to-nine miles] per hour, move further inland and weaken into a low pressure system with winds speeds of 39-49kph [24-30 miles per hour],” As the report showed, the typhoon has taken eight lives so far in the area.
