JAMAICA: Jamaican Chef Closer To 'Chopped' Champion Title

Jamaican-born chef Andre Fowles is a step closer to the Chopped Champion title and US$50,000 after winning tonight's battle in season five of the Chopped Champions Tournament.

Fowles, who on February 24, 2016 was declared the winner of the Food Network TV’s Chopped and walked away with the US$10,000 grand prize, lined up for the Food Network’s fourth battle in the season earlier.

Fowles’ appearance on the show is historic as he is the first Jamaican-born as well as the youngest chef to compete in the tournament.

His victory tonight means that he will compete next week Tuesday, April 26, in the finals for the Chopped Champion title.
