USA: 16 People taken HospitalIzed After New Orleans Shooting

Around 300 people were at Bunny Friend Park in the Upper 9th Ward when a man with a silver-colored machine gun started firing, a witness told the Times-Picaynne.

At least sixteen people have been taken to hospital after a mass shooting at a playground in New Orleans, according to USA reports.

Earlier in the day, nearby, the Nine Times Second Line parade took place.

Up to 16 people have reportedly been injured after one or more gunmen opened fire on a crowd of people in a park in New Orleans. The Times-Picayune newspaper quoted witnesses as saying they saw several people lying on the sidewalk after the shooting.

The incident occurred shortly before 7 p.m. Several ambulances were seen leaving the scene.

It's not clear if the music video police said was being shot at the park was affiliated with the DJ.
