Sun City’s entertainment centre has closed for a rebuild that will see an investment of R300 million and forms part of ongoing renovations at the resort that will see an investment of R800 million. Sun City has said that the renovations are expected to be completed by the end of October.
The Valley of Waves will remain open during this period with the entrance temporarily moving next to the Bridge of Time. There is a provisional bus stop near the new entrance where guests can be dropped off.
The Welcome Centre, along with Waterworld and Adrenalin Extreme will all remain open. Guests can book activities available at the resort from these venues. Conferences will be accommodated at the SunSky Village, which is a temporary but fully-equipped facility located near the Sun City main gate.
A limited Magic Company Games Arcade will be relocating next to Food Factory at the Valley of Waves. This will all be complemented by pop-up activities across the resort during peak periods.
