The Addmind Group and franchisor Boubouffe International have opened BouBouffe Lebanese Brasserie on Sheikh Zayed Road, marking the brand’s Dubai debut.
The franchise agreement will see another four BouBouffee branches open in the UAE within the next two years, to be managed by Addmind Group.
BouBouffe’s first UAE venture opened in Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi in November 2015.
“We were eager to initially develop the BouBouffe brand in the UAE and found an ideal franchisee in the Addmind Group” said Ralph Nader, deputy CEO of BouBouffe International.
BouBouffe International founder and CEO, Michel Aramouni said: “After 40 years of success in the Lebanese market, I have finally decided, along with my partners in BouBouffe International Ralph Nader and Galal Mahmoud, to venture with BouBouffe outside the Lebanese borders”.
Tony Habre, CEO of Addmind added: “For months, a high number of Dubai residents living have asked us when we would bring BouBouffe to their city.
“We’ve looked high and wide for just the right time and location, and at last we found it. We’re in love with Dubai’s thriving food culture and are excited to bring BouBouffe to the city.”
BouBouffe’s Dubai branch is located in Aspin Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road, near the Shangri La Hotel and is open 24 hours, seven days a week, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Regional and international expansion plans are also underway, with Saudi Arabia and London earmarked for future venues for the brand.
Nader added: “Our expansion strategy is to target the KSA region soon, followed by London in the coming two years.”
First established in Beirut’s Achrafieh district in 1976, BouBouffe is a Lebanese Brasserie, with charcoal grilled chawarma and other home-cooked Lebanese dishes.
The Addmind Group owns and operates White Dubai, Iris Dubai, Mad on Yas Island, Indie DIFC and White Beirut.

UAE: Metropolitan Hotel Dubai To Reopen Before End Of 2016
The Metropolitan Hotel Dubai on Shaikh Zayed Road, which was demolished in May 2013 to make way for Al Habtoor City, is making a comeback. The hotel is set to reopen its doors to guests this quarter, Al Habtoor Group said in a statement on Sunday. The original Metropolitan Hotel was built in 1979. It was replaced by Al Habtoor City, a development incorporating three five-star hotels and three luxury residential towers.
The new Metropolitan Hotel Dubai will, however, open in a new location on Shaikh Zayed Road, near Exit 41 (Al Thanya Street). The four-star property will have 320 contemporary rooms including 18 suites, and a gym, rooftop swimming pool and spa. Guests will also have access to the pool and beach facilities at Habtoor Grand Resort, Autograph Collection, according to the company statement.
The original Metropolitan Hotel was the Al Habtoor Group’s first foray into the hospitality industry and was one of just a handful of hotels in the city at that time.
“The success of the hotel has helped our hospitality assets grow over the years in unison with the economy of the UAE,” Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman of Al Habtoor Group, said in a statement.
Al Habtoor Group’s hospitality unit incorporates seven hotels in the UAE including the Metropolitan Hotel Dubai; The Habtoor Grand Resort, Autograph Collection; The Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah; The St. Regis Dubai and W Dubai — Al Habtoor City, among others. Its international portfolio includes The Ritz-Carlton Budapest; InterContinental Budapest; Hilton London Wembley; Hotel Imperial, a Luxury Collection, Vienna; and The Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand, among others.

USA: Tourism Department Launches New TV Spots
The state Department of Tourism is launching a new ad campaign to try to draw more Wisconsin visitors.
The two new television commercials, introduced Monday at the Governor's Conference on Tourism, in Baraboo, highlight what the department calls "two authentic experiences...supper clubs as well as family and pet travel."
The ads can be seen at the departments' TravelWisconsin.com website.
"Investing in our tourism industry is great for Wisconsin and for our taxpayers," Gov. Scott Walker said, in a statement. "Last year, the advertising campaigns developed by Tourism reached hundreds of thousands of people and we saw more visitors to our state, which resulted in higher tax revenue."
The conference attracts innkeepers, restaurateurs, local tourism officials, attraction operators, state agency officials, tourism educators, and other representatives of the hospitality industry.
