NIGERIA: Over 200 Foreigners Participate At 2015 Akwaaba Travel Expo

Mr Ikechi Uko, the organiser of Akwaaba Travel Expo, on Tuesday in Lagos said that not less than 200 foreigners visited the 2015 expo on the first two days as against 80 that did in 2014.

He said that this year’s turnout of foreigners was impressive and this would further showcase Nigeria’s potential to the world.

“I am pleased with the high turnout of participants this year but I hope we will have a larger turn-out next year, “ he said.

Uko urged the Federal Government to make its visa policies more flexible to enable more countries participate in the expo.

“It was initially difficult for some of the foreigners to get Nigerian visas.

“I commend the various relevant government agencies whose intervention made some to finally get their visas,’’ he said.

He said that the expo also witnessed a high influx of local tourists which would help to increase the nation`s foreign exchange and add to the country’s GDP.

The expo which started on Nov. 22 would ended on Nov. 24.
