TURKEY: Turkish Airlines’ To Fly Four Times Weekly From Istanbul Atatürk To Durban.
A fine ribbon-cutting, gift-exchanging, cake-eating event – this route launch had it all (except for a fire truck water arch it would seem). The occasion was the start on 5 November of Turkish Airlines’ four times weekly service from Istanbul Atatürk to Durban.
Turkish Airlines, already flying to 279 destinations in 110 countries, continued to grow this week by adding flights to Durban (DUR). As a result, its destinations in Africa have been increased to 46. Beginning on 5 November, the service will be operated from Istanbul Atatürk (IST) on a Istanbul – Johannesburg – Durban – Johannesburg – Istanbul routing four times weekly with an A330-300. No other airline operates this city pair.
