UAE: December 2 & 3 Will Be Private Sector Holidays In The UAE

Holidays will mark National Day and Commemoration Day: Ministry of Labour

Dubai: A long weekend awaits UAE residents in early December as Wednesday and Thursday, December 2 and 3, will be paid holidays for the private sector on the occasion of Martyrs’ Day and the 44th UAE National Day, the Ministry of Labour has announced on Monday.

The holiday was announced through a circular issued by Saqr Ghobash, Minister of Labour.

On this occasion, Ghobash expressed his congratulations to President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, as well as Emiratis and residents.
November 30 is Commemoration Day according to the UAE Official Public Holidays 2015 List, however, the ministry has confirmed that it has been clubbed with National Day for the public and private sectors.

The UAE will go back to work on Sunday, December 6.
