Britons are showing an interest in a wider variety of destinations than they have in the past, news that may tempt some jetsetters to follow the trend and head to places in southern Africa on Air Botswana flights.
According to a spokesperson for Abta - The Travel Association, the continent is enjoying a surge in popularity among UK vacationers.
"The biggest growth is probably in Africa Zambia and Botswana, those kinds of areas have seen growth," the expert commented.
Among the highlights of the country's offerings for travellers cited by Botswana Tourism are the "spectacular wildlife" and national monuments, such as ancient rock paintings.
The organisation noted that as well as having the chance to see the big five - lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards and rhinoceroses - visitors can also head to 12 spots listed as important bird areas.
Vacationers who plan to book Air Botswana flights to the African nation may be encouraged by its performance in the World Economic Forum's Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index, which saw the nation jump 12 places in the rankings since 2009.
