The Tourism Ministry has announced that tourism from Europe drop sharply in November, for which it blames the ongoing wave of terror.
The number of tourists from Europe to Israel drop by more than 30 percent when compared with November 2013, and 10 percent compared to last November. November 2014, it should be noted, was shortly after Operation Protective Edge.
The strongest declines were visitors from Russia (down 59 percent from 2013), Italy (down 58 percent) and Finland (down 45 percent), though the Ministry claimed that most Russians are deterred more by their country's financial difficulties than by security issues in Israel.
