THE 7th Penang International Halal Expo & Conference, which will be held from Jan 29 to Jan 31 next year, will feature more than 300 exhibitions.
The three-day event will be held at the Subterranean Penang International Convention & Exhibition Arena in Bayan Lepas.
State Religious Affairs, Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman Datuk Abdul Malik Abul Kassim said nearly 80% of the booths had been taken up by companies and local businesses.
“People can also look forward to the World Curry Festival.
“We are also expecting delegates from various countries to take part in the conference,” he said during a press conference at Komtar yesterday.
Also present was Penang International Halal Hub Development Sdn Bhd General Manager Mohamed Firhan Mohamed Ghose.
Meanwhile, the Conference will also introduce the ‘Exploring New Frontiers in Halal Agriculture’ on Jan 30 at the Olive Tree Hotel Penang.
