KENYA: Kenya Wildlife Service Decreases Entry Fees To Parks And Reserves

Following a review of parks and reserves entry fees, the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has decreased its rates from November 1.

Entry fees to KWS managed National Parks and Reserves have been capped at $60 (€54) for adult non-residents.

Although there are different fees for each park, none will be above $60. Entrance to premium Parks will be charged at $60, wilderness parks $52, Urban Safaris $43, Sanctuaries $22, Marine parks $17 and scenic or special interest rates at $26 and $22.

The decision follows the Kenyan government’s move to exempt entry fees to national parks and reserves from Value Added Tax (VAT).

According to KWS the conservation fees paid for parks entry goes towards the protection of the Kenya’s heritage.
