The number of tourists visiting the popular tourist destination in the country, Langtang-Gosainkunda hinterland, has notably increased in the recent days.
According to Officiating Chief Conservation Officer of the Langtang National Park, Keshav Raj Bhetwal, over 1,500 visitors have visited the area so far since the beginning of the current fiscal year, adding that over 50 people visit the area on a daily basis.
The number has been marked to be higher than previous years.
Over Rs 5.3 million has been collected as the entrance fee from the visiting tourists.
The number of tourists visiting the region was significantly down after the destructive earthquake on April 25, 2015, Bhetuwal added.
The Rasuwa-based Narayandal Battalion of the Nepal Army has managed security in the region.
