Houw Hoek Hotel in Grabouw, South Africa’s oldest hotel, was sold to new owners, Robert Haarburger and Drew Danford, for R42 million (€2.74m).
The 38 double rooms have en-suite bathrooms, telephones, and television. There are also fireplaces and views of the mountains and streams from private balconies. Houw Hoek also has 15 three-bedroom family rooms with en-suite bathrooms, telephone and television.
Facilities include a swimming pool and restaurant. The restaurant seats up to 100 guests and serves a full English breakfast daily. Nearby facilities include mountain bike trails.
Haarburger and Danford are also the owners of the Arniston Spa Hotel in Overberg.
