GERMANY: Hotel Maritim Halle, To Be Occupied By Asylum Seekers Soon
Some Syrian refugees in Germany will have a chance for some luxury. A four star Maritim Hotel in the German town of Halle will soon be one of the new homes for Syrian refugees in the German State of Sachsen-Anhalt.
Guests will enjoy an indoor swimming pool, gym and other luxury amenities.
A just signed lease agreement between the State Government and Maritim Hotel Corporation is initially set for three years with an option to extend.
The four star hotel will be converted into a refugee emergency housing project. 80 full and part time associates of the hotel, along with 17 interns are offered the option to work in one of the other 35 Maritim hotels in Germany.
The Sachsen-Anhalt State government is desperately looking for additional housing to handle the flood of asylum seekers in this East German State.
The hotel will be home of 740 refugees or asylum seekers starting October 1.
