UAE: Air Arabia Starts Sixth Pakistani Service From Sharjah

This fabulous cake welcomed the arrival of Air Arabia to its sixth Pakistani destination on 18 September – Faisalabad. Wielding the knife were: Junaid Khan, Key Account Manager, Air Arabia; Munir Siddiqui, Regional General Manager North, Gerry’s International; Syed Shahryar Hussain, Country Manager, Air Arabia; Arif Zia, PCAA Airport Manager Faisalabad; and the Air Arabia First Officer and Captain Sami Salim.

Air Arabia has added its sixth Pakistani destination to its Sharjah (SHJ) network, as Faisalabad (LYP) services began on 18 September. The 1,831-kilometre sector joins the LCC’s existing flights to Multan, Karachi, Sialkot, Peshawar and Quetta. Flown thrice-weekly by the airline’s 168-seat A320s, the city pair faces no direct competition, however it joins recent market entrants, flydubai and Qatar Airways, in offering Faisalabad as part of its respective network.
