Dubai is further positioning itself as a smart destination of choice for both leisure and business purposes. According to a recent report by the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Dubai is expected to have 155,000 new rooms by 2020, with a further 10,000 plus rooms that need to undergo refurbishment prior to the Expo 2020. One of the biggest challenges is to ensure the upcoming hotels are tech-ready and next-gen, yet cost-effective.

The upcoming Hotel Technology Summit will privately gather over 150 CEOs and CIOs to discuss the latest technology trends that will impact the regional industry, resolve challenges in providing ultimate guest experience, and bridge the gap between the needs of the existing and upcoming millennial guests. The summit also features leading global technology providers Honeywell, Rategain, Pagero, and Innwise among others who will bring their global expertise and technology innovation to support the regional vision of smart transformation.

Sophie Le Ray, CEO of Naseba said, "The region is leveraging technology to enhance guest experience and increase profitability. Technology has become a key revenue driver and is transforming the hospitality industry. I'm happy that HFTP, recognized as the global voice for the finance and technology segment of the hospitality industry, will share their global insights and experience for the first time in the Middle East."
