In the Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index 2015, Mongolia stands at the 99th place out of 144 economies with value of 3.31. Although Mongolia’s Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index in general correlates with those of the rest of Asia-Pacific region, there is a notable difference when it comes to Air Transport Infrastructure and Ground and Port Infrastructure.
The international tourist arrivals and, therefore, income from inbound tourism is continuing to fall since 2012. Although Mongolia participated as the Partner Country for ITB Berlin 2015, it’s yet to see its outcome.
