Turkish Airlines inaugurated services to Khujand, its second destination in Tajikistan after Dushanbe. Services will be operated twice-weekly on Mondays and Thursdays using the Star Alliance member’s 737-800s, and faces no direct competition.
In attendance at the inaugural ceremony in Khujand were: Mehmet Munis Dirik, Turkish Ambassador of Dushanbe; Abdullah Atesoglu, Turkish Airlines GM in Dushanbe; Kerem Sarp, Turkish Airlines VP for Sales; Zarobiddin Fayzullozoda, Governor of Sughd Province; and Maruf Mahmudzoda, Khujand Airport CEO.
