PAPUA NEW GUINEA: Air Niugini's Domestic Competitor Rebrands

Following last year's rebranding of Air Niugini's domestic arm into Link PNG , their domestic competitor Airlines PNG is now following suit and rebranding as PNG Air.

The rebranding of the smaller airline is being done as Airlines PNG/PNG Air take delivery of a new turboprop aircraft, a French built ATR72-600(C) direct from the manufacturers.

Airlines PNG has previously been an all-Bombardier operator with fourteen Dash 8-100s used on scheduled passenger flights throughout Papua New Guinea from its bases at Port Moresby and Rabaul.

Air Niugini is the growing and well managed, national carrier of the wonderful country which is Papua New Guinea.
