USA: Newest Airline At Mitchell International Airport In Second On-time Arrivals

Delta Air Lines remains the airline with the best on-time track record in the U.S. in November, but the newest airline at General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee is a close competitor.

Alaska Airlines ranked third in the U.S. for on-time arrivals and departures, with 82.9 percent of flights arriving on time and 84.6 percent departing on time, according to FlightView. The only airline with a better track record at Mitchell International is national leader Delta.

Southwest Airlines, the largest carrier at Mitchell, ranked fourth in the U.S. with 82.9 percent of flights arriving on time, and 81.4 percent departing on time.

Of the airlines that service Milwaukee, Frontier ranked lowest for on-time flights, with 73.8 percent of flights arriving on time.

An airline's on-time track record can impact passengers' loyalty, especially for busy business travelers who can afford to pay a premium for superior performance. With this year's addition of Alaska Airlines at Mitchell, Milwaukee travelers gained a top-performing airline.

Also included in FlightView's November update was a ranking of global airports. Chicago's O'Hare International, the world's busiest airport, ranked 690th for on-time arrivals, at 78.1 percent. The report did not track performance at Mitchell.
