CHINA: Church In High-heeled Shoe Shape To Attract Women

A newly-built church in the shape of a high-heeled shoe in Budai Town of Taiwan's Chiayi County will open to the public before Spring Festival.

The unique church is designed to attract female visitors. Among the 100 planned photo shooting spots inside the building, 71 have been decorated with romantic aspects such as a lovers' chair, a maple leaf, a sandwich biscuit as well as a cake.

Construction of the main part of the church was finished near the end of 2015 after more than two months' work. Although the site is still cordoned off, many visitors swarmed there to appreciate the building during the holidays, causing congestion to the surrounding roads.

Officials in charge explained that the postponement was due to safety concerns, and guaranteed to officially open the church before the Chinese lunar New Year.
