The company Korongo Airlines issued a statement informing its customers that it was suspending its flights until Wednesday, August 26 following an injury suffered by its unique 737 during takeoff in Mbuji-Mayi airport where pieces of asphalt from track damaged a part of the horizontal stabilizer of the aircraft.
The company denounced the non-compliance of the track of Mbuji-Mayi Airport. The aircraft is currently locked for repair. We will not be surprised if the company decided to suspend the service of the capital of Kasai Oriental following this incident.
