CANADA: Six Killed In Canadian Seaplane Crash

Six people have been killed in a seaplane crash in the Les Bergeronnes area, in Quebec province, Canada.

Four of those killed in the incident were British, according to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office.

Five passengers and a pilot died when the Beaver aircraft in came down in woodland.

The bodies of all six passengers aboard the Air Saguenay plane have been found, but no identities have been confirmed.

The seaplane had taken off from Tadoussac, on the north shore of the Gulf of Saint Lawrence, located about 270 kilometres north east of Quebec City.

A Foreign Office spokeswoman said: “Sadly, four British nationals were on board the plane that crashed in Les Bergeronnes, Canada.

“Our deepest sympathies are with their friends and family at this difficult time. Our consular officers are ready to provide assistance and we will remain in contact with Canadian authorities regarding this tragic incident.”
