Many members of the Masai tribe, traditionally a culture centred around farming, living in Dar es Salam have turned to a different profession, hairdressing.
A lack of rain has meant there has not been enough grass for cattle herds on the Serengeti meaning many Masai have moved to urban centres to look for work to support their tribe.
The traditional Masai technique for braiding hair has proved a very popular style amongst other Tanzanians.
As a result many Masai, some who were warriors, have turned to hairdressing to make a living.
