By adding four additional weekly flights from 1st December 2015, Emirates will offer a total of 11 weekly flights from Dubai to Phuket, the tourist destination of southern Thailand.
The Dubai company will operate on this route a B 777-300ER configured oeing three-class (8 seats in First Class, 42 seats in Business Class and 310 in Economy Class). The flight EK396 will depart Dubai International Airport at 10:55 p.m. ET arrive at Phuket International Airport at 8:00 am the next day. The return flight EK397 will depart Phuket at 9:30 am and arrive in Dubai at 13:20 the same day.
"The flights were scheduled not only to optimize the connectivity of our network but also to allow for arrival in the morning at Phuket, giving maximum time for travelers to enjoy the island and its surroundings," notes Thierry de Bailleul, CEO France Emirates.
The new flights with Emirates to Phuket are in addition to the announcement of code-sharing agreement between Emirates and Thailand's Bangkok Airways. This agreement extends the Emirates network to 14 new destinations in Southeast Asia served by Bangkok Airways. In addition, Emirates also operates 42 weekly flights to Bangkok, the Thai capital.
