IRAN: Germans To Partake In Holding Iran’s Tourism Expo

The 9th Tehran International Tourism Exhibition will be held from February 16 to 19 and its international section will be organized by a German company.

Announcing the above, the exhibition secretary Ali-Bagher Nemati said that the expo will be held in two general and specialized sections this year.

A German company is supposed to help Iran in organizing the international section. It is a professional corporation, which had held tourism exhibitions on theme of Central Asian and African countries previously, he added.

Workshops on Halal tourism, health tourism and international opportunities of tourism will be held on the sidelines of the event in order to develop the expo’s scientific aspect, he said.

Ali-Bagher Nemati added that during the expo a session is planned to be held on investment opportunities in the field of tourism industry.

The expo has set up its greatest stand for all Iranian provinces which will display their potential for tourist attractions, he added.

Moreover the Head of Tehran International Trading and Exhibition Corporation (TITEX) Farhad Aminian said: “Last year some 150 countries were invited to the event, however only 13 nations participated due to different reasons namely the sanctions and other limitations.”

Introducing Iran’s tourism capacities is the event’s most significant purpose, he said and added “the secretariat of the exhibition will receive applications online.”

“Foreign companies should pay 200 Euros for stands and we hope more foreigners apply for this edition of the event,” he said.

The exhibition, with the motto of “Be Our Guest” and the theme of “Iranian Houses”, will be held at Tehran International Permanent Fairground.
