OMAN: Oman-India Cooperation In Medical Tourism In Focus

Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), an apex chamber in India, in association with Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, Embassy of India, Oman Medical Association (OMA) and Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), will be organising Indian Medical Tourism Destination (IMTD) Exhibition-cum-CME on April 12 and 13 at Hotel Crowne Plaza, Muscat.

IMTD Exhibition-cum-CME aims at promoting India as a global healthcare destination in the Sultanate. The exhibition will be inaugurated by Dr Ahmed bin Moha mmed al Saeedi, Minister of Health, along with J S Mukul, Indian Ambassador to Oman.

The two-day event will have an exhibition which will bring together top-notch medical professionals, leading healthcare and medical service providers from India, to showcase their international quality, advancements and cost-effectiveness of the Indian healthcare industry.

The Continuing Medical Education (CME) conference would be an attraction of the show which will be attended by over 300 medical professionals. Conferences on various topics will be organised by these reputed participants from India and Oman. A high-level joint meeting is being held to announce the modalities of the Expo-CME at the OCCI today.

The exhibition will feature several multi-speciality hospitals as well as centres for alternative healthcare like Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy. Conference and seminars conducted by leading academics and industry professionals, business-to-business meetings and tie-ups with leading hospitals and healthcare centres in India will also be the highlights of the Inida-Oman Health Cooperation Exhibition in Muscat.

About 30 leading hospitals and healthcare institutions from India are participating in the event. Experienced yoga performers from reputed National Institutes of Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, will perform live Yoga demonstration.

A Business Interaction Meet is being organised by the Indian Embassy on April 12 where visiting Indian delegation will meet with Omani medical/healthcare professionals and businesses associated in this sector.
The event is supported by the Ministry of Health. Air India and Oman Air will be the official carriers of the show.
