USA: Fluid Coffee Bar Expands

The popular Uptown spot is growing

A decade old Uptown staple, Fluid Coffee Bar is growing with a new location near the corner of 17th and Stout streets, BusinessDen reported. Owner Jeff Aitken will bring his business to a smaller space than the original one, inside the Magnolia Hotel where a Starbuck's Coffee was housed until June.

Guests of the new 1,325 square feet Downtown location should expect to find a full list of coffee drinks brewed with beans from local roaster Novo Coffee, as well as prepackaged breakfast and lunch fare. A cold brew system will also be added, something not yet available at the Uptown spot. Meeting spaces for rent, which bring in a good amount of revenue for Aitken, will also be offered but they will not mimic the one at the 19th Street location.

The coffee shop and gathering place should open its doors and start serving sometime before the end of the year.
