The South Asian Travel Awards is the first ever regional Travel Awards endorsed by Multi National Associations providing the Tourism sector of the South Asian Region with recognition towards their facilities and service excellence, according to Booking.com, one of the largest global travel websites.
The ‘South Asia Travel Awards’ special gala event was held at Mount Lavinia Hotel Sri Lanka and was notable for the high quality achieved by the award nominees. The South Asian Travel Awards were presented to leading hotels and resorts, travel agents and partners in over 30 categories on Sri Lanka, Maldives and India.
Booking.com annually awards its partners who consistently deliver great guest experiences based on over 110 million reviews, 355,535 properties in 205 countries. To be recognized with an award, properties had to have an average review score of 8 or higher based on at least 10 reviews.
