SOUTH AFRICA: New Visa Regulations May Hurt Tourism
The revised immigration laws that are meant to protect South Africa could harm the country's tourism industry. Many other countries are attempting to ease visa requirements but South Africa has recently tightened them.
The new immigration laws will make travelling to South Africa expensive, cumbersome and complicated according to the Tourism Business Council of SA.
It said the new rules will harm the country’s multi billion rand tourism industry.
It’s called on the government to put the revised regulations on ice, until more research is carried out.
