ANGOLA: Tourist Credit Cards

The Institute of Tourist and Promotion (Infotur), in partnership with bank BAI, will soon launch the "Tourist Card", as part of its tourism promotion strategy in Angola.

The information was provided by the Director of Infotur Eugénio Clemente during a meeting that brought together partners and tourism-related services operators in the country.

No further advance the operating date of the card, the official said that the document will, among other benefits, allow domestic and foreign tourists have discounts on various services related to hotel, tourism and catering.

"Our main goal with this card is to encourage people to tour the country. They will also benefit the hotels, restaurants, rent-a-car companies and travel agencies that will see the number of clients increase when the card into operation, "he confirmed.

According to Eugénio Clemente, the "Tourist Card" is part of a series of activities that Infotur is developing whose main objective the promotion of tourism in Angola at national and international level. As mentioned, among the strategies they are also listed on trips to parks, museums and other places of historical interest.

"These actions will be implemented in various forms in order to boost the tourism market and contribute to the growth and promotion of good image of Angola".

Created in 1997, the Institute of Tourist Development has primary responsibility to play an important role in the national tourism development strategy.

This year alone, during the first quarter, Infotur participated in three international events in Portugal, Germany and Spain. In the coming months, the Institute will show Angola in the fairs of Cuba, South Africa and Mozambique.
