USA: Ed Curry New Director Of Sales & Marketing - Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel

Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel has announced the appointment of Ed Curry as Director of Sales & Marketing. With more than 25 years of luxury hospitality experience, Curry oversees all of the beachfront property’s strategic sales and marketing efforts.

“Ed’s extensive background and knowledge of all aspects of the hospitality industry will help further support the growth of our beautiful hotel,” said Paul Leclerc, General Manager. “We are excited to have him on our team and look forward to his energy and dynamic experience to continue driving our sales and marketing initiatives.”

Curry joined Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel most recently from St. Supery Estate Vineyards & Winery in Napa Valley where he held the role of Vice President, Marketing & Direct Sales. Previously, he held an array of senior sales and marketing positions with luxury hoteliers, including Director of Sales & Marketing at The Langham, Huntington Hotel & Spa (formerly The Ritz-Carlton, Huntington Hotel & Spa), and Director of Sales & Marketing at The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey.

Curry’s experience also includes a pivotal role as National Sales Manager of Sun International, where he was on the opening team of Atlantis Paradise Island in the Bahamas, and Associate Director of Sales at Hyatt Regency San Francisco. Curry began his career as Sales Manager of Hyatt Regency Hilton Head in 1988.

Born and raised in Yosemite National Park where his family managed hotels and recreational activities for three generations, Curry earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Hotel & Restaurant Management from the University of Denver. Along with spending time with his wife and son, he enjoys travel, food, wine, and golf, having won the Northern California FedEx Golf Challenge in 2013.
