UAE: Dubai’s Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf Got 9,000 Indian Guests In 2015

Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf Dubai welcomed around 9,000 guests from India in 2015, said Sarfaraz Shaikh, Director of Sales, Marriott Hotel Al Jaddaf and Marriott Executive Apartment Al Jaddaf Dubai. He was in Mumbai to showcase the property to travel agents at the Marriott Global Sales Mission last week.

Shaikh said that India is a very big market for the property. The hotel attracted 8,500 Indians in its first year in 2014, making India its biggest source market. But China took over in the second year. “In the second year, we had around 9,000 guests from India. Of this, 7,500 guests were MICE travellers,” he said. Shaikh shared that the hotel’s location renders it suitable for business travellers.

“India is the only market which DTCM forecasted to witness a growth in 2014-15 and 2015-16,” he stated. One of the prominent features of the hotel is its proximity to Dubai’s Royal residence, Zabeel Palace and hence is expected to witness a lot of development in the future. The hotel has 352 rooms across 8 floors with 192 Deluxe King and 107 Deluxe Double rooms, including 39 Executive Suites, two Zabeel Suites and a Presidential Suite.
