AUSTRALIA: Australia Tourism Bangs 7.2m Visitors

International visitors are flocking to Australia, with the latest figures showing a record 7.2 million people arrived last financial year.

The latest survey from Tourism Research Australia shows visitors came from far and wide, including Asia, the Pacific, the US and Europe.

While backpacker numbers to the Northern Territory, Queensland and Victoria were down Tasmania and the ACT both had more than a 10 per cent increase.
