Miss Malaysia Tourism 2014 Ranjani Rajamanickam, Miss Malaysis Tourism Metropolitan Joey Ong and Miss Malaysia Tourism Queen of the Year Shirley Hew
A marine scientist who aspires to be a fitness model, a law graduate who put herself through college and a public relations practitioner with a business administration degree – these are the standouts in the recently held Miss Malaysia Tourism 2014 pageant in Kuala Lumpur.
They triumphed over a field of 18 contestants, edging out the competition with their beauty, charm, personality, wit and brains. All of them are worthy winners who had proven themselves well before they took part in the beauty pageant.
The three winners of this year’s Miss Malaysia Tourism 2014 pageant share their stories of early successes in life and their aspirations for greater achievements.
Miss Malaysia Tourism 2014 Ranjani Rajamanickam, from Kota Kinabalu, conducts environmental impact studies as a marine scientist, but behind the stodgy white lab coat lies a vibrant personality who believes in exercise. She has worked her way to a great physique and she plans to take this a step further by becoming a fitness trainer.
Miss Malaysia Tourism Queen of the Year Shirley Hew, 24, is an aspiring lawyer who comes from humble beginnings. She is the fourth of five siblings and her parents operate a small coffee shop in Serdang. She spent two years after SPM working as a stewardess with Singapore Airlines (SIA) to save money for her A-Levels.
Miss Malaysis Tourism Metropolitan Joey Ong Ai Ee holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Banking and Finance degree from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman in Kampar, Perak. She also has a diploma in accounting.
