USA: Craft Beer + Food 2015 – Ticket Info and More

The Washington Beer Blog, producers of Craft Beer + Food, announced today that tickets will go on sale Tuesday, September 1 for the fifth annual food and beer pairing event. Craft Beer + Food takes place on Wednesday, October 21 at the Palace Ballroom in downtown Seattle. The event benefits Washington Wild’s Brewshed® Alliance program.

At the event, guests have an opportunity to sample up to 12 different food and craft beer pairings provided by local restaurants, food purveyors and breweries. To create unique and delicious pairings, event organizers partner local restaurants and food purveyors with local breweries. The teams work side-by-side to create and present outstanding combinations that highlight how beer can be part of an elevated dining experience.

In addition to the main event, this year marks the addition of Craft Beer + Food Week. Throughout the week, event partners will offer various beer + food pairing experiences: beer dinners, special pairing menus, and even a cooking class.

“Since its inception five years ago, the Craft Beer + Food event has proven to be wildly popular,” says Kendall Jones, Co-Founder of the Washington Beer Blog and one of the event’s organizers. “The main event is spectacular but this year we wanted to expand the program and create more opportunities for people to experience the joy of beer and food pairing. Overall the goal is the same: to highlight how well beer pairs with all kinds of dining experiences.”

Cooking with Beer at Tom Douglas’ Hot Stove Society will give attendees the opportunity for hands-on learning. Four courses paired with Black Raven Brewing include spaetzle with beer cheese sauce and beer-brined fried chicken. Also new this year, the Craft Beer + Food main event adds some local food purveyors, including Mt. Townsend Creamery of Port Townsend and The Brewmaster’s Bakery of Renton. The latter uses byproducts from the brewing process—spent grain sourced from local breweries—to create delicious baked goods.

Other participating restaurants include Beardslee Public House, Brave Horse Tavern, Bluebird Microcreamery, Bread & Circuses, Brave Horse Tavern, Capitol Cider, Carlile Room, Schooner Exact, Stout, Taylor Shellfish, and Watershed Pub and Kitchen.

Brewery participants include Alpenfire (cider), Beardslee Public House, Bluebird Brewery, Black Raven Brewing, Georgetown Brewing, Pike Brewing, Postdoc Brewing, Propolis Brewing, Reuben’s Brews, Schooner Exact Brewing, Stoup Brewing, and Two Beers Brewing.

Starting at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1, tickets can be purchased online for $40 by visiting the official event website: www.craftbeerplusfood.com. Craft Beer + Food is an entirely non-profit event, with 100% of proceeds benefiting Washington Wild’s Brewshed Alliance.
