SIERRA LEONE: Swiss International's Chef Wins The Braai Master Challenge In Sierra Leone
1. Press release For Immediate Release Swiss International’s chef bags the title of Braai Master Chef after winning the 1st Braai Master Challenge held in Sierra Leone “The chef of Swiss Spirit Hotel & Suites Freetown, Amadu Mbyie wins the Braai Master Challenge Baar (CH)/ Ras Al Khaimah (UAE)/ Freetown (Sierra Leone), November 29, 2016 – The chef of Swiss Spirit Hotel & Suites Freetown, Amadu Mbyie, clinched the title of Braai Master Chef in the Braai Master Challenge held at the Golden Tulip Essential Kimbima Hotel in Freetown on November 10, 2016. The first Braai Master Challenge witnessed participants from some of the top hotels & restaurants of Sierra Leone including the New Brookfields Hotel, Golden Tulip Essential Hotel, Mammy Yoko Radison Blu Hotel, The Cube Restaurant, and Montana Palace Restaurant.
The chefs exhibited their culinary skills through a variety of delectable dishes which was presented in front of four judges including the General Manager of Golden Tulip Essential Kimbima, David Church and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sierra Akker Food Processing Company, Pakai Kamara. Amadu Mybie along with Sous Chef Mohamed presented succulent grilled chicken, roasted beef, with rice, fruits and a vegetable dish covered in savoury tomato sauce. The food preparation was assessed on the flavours and presentation of each dish.
The Braai Master and the Swiss Spirit Hotel & Suites Freetown’s chef, Amadu Mbyie said, “Cooking has always been my passion and I have been cooking for over 30 years now. Working in Swiss Café Restaurant & Lounge, has broadened my horizons as a chef and it’s an enriching experience every day in the kitchen.
