Packing winds up to 172 kilometres per hour (107 miles per hour), typhoon Jebi slammed the western region on Tuesday, bringing a deluge of rain, damaging infrastructure and causing the closure of Osaka Kansai International Airport.
The strongest storm to hit the country in 25 years have so far left at least three people dead and more than 140 others injured.
All flyers affected by cancellation advised to postpone their trip and make the necessary re-booking
Customers are advised that due to typhoon Jebi, all flights into/out of Osaka Kansai International Airport on 4 and 5 September have been cancelled due to the airport closure and heavy flooding, an Emirates spokesperson said.
Emirates said customers connecting onto affected flights to Osaka will not be accepted at the original point of departure until further notice.
Passengers who have already started their journey and are enroute will be offered re-route options to Haneda and Narita airports subject to availability.
Affected flyers are advised to change their flights and postpone their departure up to seven days later than originally booked.
